Flight Mechanic

Typical Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understand use and wear required PPE within assigned production work area/position.

• Ability to read and follow aircraft blueprint drawings and process specifications

• Familiar with and ability to accurately use basic hand tools including torque wrenches, measuring devices (micrometers), and safety wire pliers

• Ability to accurately perform installations per blueprint requirements

• Ability to accurately install various types of threaded fasteners using required tooling

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and/ or flight control systems preferred

• Operates required tooling, machinery, and equipment in a proficient manner following established safety rules.

• Follow all company policies and procedures

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Degree, Certification and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 4 years of aviation experience preferred, flight operations, ramp

• A&P and/or other related license highly desired and may be required in certain positions.

Required Skill and Knowledge:

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP an added benefit

• Be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

• Flexibility to various schedules and overtime

• Works with minimal supervision.

• Must have good prioritizing skills and strong team skills

• Familiarity of basic function of all aircraft systems

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.

• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, and routinely climb stairs / ladders.

• Ability to work for extended periods in a tight space and/or awkward position.

• Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions
