THE ROLE

​We are on the hunt for a highly motivated Transport Manager who is not only organized and experienced but also possesses an exceptional eye for detail. With all our transport operations in-house, this pivotal role involves overseeing all transport aspects of transport operation, including, the efficient coordination of vehicles and personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing routes, managing our fleet, and leading a team.

​This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth and cost-effective running of our transport department in a dynamic, fast-paced 24/7 global environment.

​The role responsibilities include:

  • Plan and oversee vehicle transport for all business activities, including, but not limited to the logistics for World, European, and British Rally Championship events, the Dakar programme, and the British Touring Car Championship.  

  • Ensure continuous compliance with safety regulations and company polices, staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to make informed operational decisions.

  • Develop and implement efficient transport strategies to ensure optimal performance and value.

  • Coordinate closely with other departments to schedule transportation activities, ensuring compliance with customs procedures and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

  • Foster a proactive, can-do attitude within the team, effectively managing competing demands and challenges in a fast-paced, global logistics environment.

  • Working closely with an assistant and the Travel Office department to handle Carnets and booking arrangements, among other duties.

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

​The ideal candidate should be a proven leader with robust problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and a capacity for handling the rigorous pace of global logistics.

​Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead a team of 8-10 people, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.

​You should have previous experience in a fast-paced logistical environment and be able to demonstrate experience in managing logistics in a fast-paced, global setting.

​You should have a flexible and adaptable attitude towards working hours and be able to adapt to changing schedules and demands.

​You should be professionally qualified with a CPC in International Transport Management, or an equivalent qualification. Along with excellent knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

​You should be computer literate and confident in using Microsoft Office, strong numeracy skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

​Experience in managing certain budget aspects and investing in staff training, including using resources provided by our partners at SafetyCulture is desirable.
