We are looking for a Spares Coordinator to join our Inventory and Logistics Team here at Williams Racing. In this role, you will be responsible for trackside inventory management using our ERP system, managing the trackside lifing process and processing deliveries to and from track. You will report and update on usage at events and liaise back to the factory any parts required to maintain a healthy inventory. You will also play an important role in helping to deliver any new parts or updates to the car, and feedback on any information that may be important to the relevant stakeholders. The ability to prioritise workload in a rapidly changing environment, a keen eye for detail and a self-starting attitude are essential in this role.

As a Spares Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Attending races, Test, PR events as required.

  • Actively participate in creating the event shortage list, working with Production/ Parts Logistics Coordinators to identify priorities, and feeding back to the customer (Race Team) on part availability.

  • Work cross functionally to support an efficient logistics plan, ensuring we limit hand baggage and late freight where possible, both inbound and outbound from factory and trackside.

  • Support the transactions required to ensure the inventory system mirrors the physical location of parts with a long-term view to use MRP, with a view to stock accuracy being of the highest importance.

  • Manage parts trackside in accordance with the event allocations plan to ensure cars are cars are built correctly.

  • Feedback on part availability through the build specification / TTR system.

  • Provide information and parts to assembly departments to support pre-race assembly builds.

  • Act as point of contact to the Race Team to provide information on parts availability and expected deliveries.

  • Maintain part set-up and aid future development of component lifing system.

  • Assist in building the car in the lifing system and applying event mileages during and after running.

  • Assist in submission of any required UIIL related documentation to the FIA.

We are looking for a Spares Coordinator with the following experience and skills:

  • Proven experience in a stock control or inventory management role within a fast-paced environment, or motorsport trackside environment is essential.

  • Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing processes and understanding of engineering.

  • Willingness to travel internationally.

  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Experience using lifing systems.

  • Ability to accurately manage stock using D365 or equivalent.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and react to changing priorities.

  • Excellent attention to details and a can-do attitude.

In compliance with national Secure Freight Consigner conditions, five years’ continuous employment, education and/or training must be evidenced and any gaps exceeding 28 days accounted for.  A criminal record check will also be carried out.  This will be explained in more detail during interview.
