Social Media Executive

Purpose of the Role:

Creation and distribution of content that fits the social media strategy as set out by the Head of Social Media across key platforms and to the special tone of the brands.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Day-to-day multi-channel management, posting across X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and any other strategically relevant platforms for Motorsport.com/Autosport Creating best-in-class graphics and video assets to engage with motorsport fans Posting to the social platforms - creating and in-keeping to a positive brand and tone of voice for Motorsport.com Maintaining the social media calendar for each platform Leveraging brand marketing calendar and pop culture occasions to maximise relevance of storytelling to drive engagement, reach, and follower growth Live in-moment event coverage of key racing series (mainly F1) Working with video, podcast, and editorial team to create bespoke content for social, including social graphics and short-form videos Editing third party videos for social relevance Keeping on top of trends and understand how we can execute on them Be proactive with creative ideas Willing to travel, work weekend shifts and potential holidays.

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes Required:

  • 2+ years managing social media Proficiency with photo editing tools (i.e. Photoshop/InDesign) Proficiency with video editing tools preferred (i.e. Final Cut/Premiere) Graphic design ability preferred Experience in covering live events Good understanding of multiple Motorsport series Deep understanding of social media platform and the respective methods of content prioritisation. Knowledge of current social trends and how to use them to engage audiences. Use of data analytics tools to make key decisions and report back on success
