Main duties
- Lead the transition of dealer service and support for the next generation of Lotus products.
- Understand the impact vehicle architecture changes of our new products will have on our existing dealer network.
- Ensure all current 'Aftersales' systems/ functions/ Information sources are considered and a strategy agreed for each.
- Work directly with other departments within Lotus and the wider Geely group to fully define the technical requirements for Lotus service operations going forward.
- Learn group diagnostics systems and requirements with a view to implementing on lotus products.
- Work with engineering and Group departments to fully define Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) and customer symptom codes (CSC) for Lotus products and the resultant diagnostic fault trees.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering/ IT to ensure the required levels of vehicle data is captured robustly throughout the build process to enable potentially carry over group systems to operate in service.
- Support implementation of vehicle configuration and test systems (VCATS) within the manufacturing environment, ensuring downstream requirements are met.
- Define an introduction strategy and role out plan for the next generation dealer tool kit (LC-DS/GL-DS)
- Fully assess impact to diagnostics, warranty, parts ordering, technical information and vehicle servicing systems.
- Define and develop the required field operations supporting structure/ Organisation going forward.
- Work closely with lotus engineering team and Geely group members to ensure robust software controls are in place for in plant and in field updates.
- Identify Lotus internal and dealer training requirements and develop a plan to support the launch of new product to market
- Define strategy for supporting legacy models currently in service.
