PURCHASER COMPOSITE TEAM 100% (all genders)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure that the operational needs of the organisation are met, considering quality, quantity, and price, and to ensure timely delivery
  • Responsibility for a range of specific projects and commodity groups. • Make-or-buy decisions, considering the optimisation of internal production capacity
  • Working closely with design, estimating, production engineering, manufacturing, quality, project management, finance, and external suppliers to deliver projects to the right quality, at the right time and at the best cost
  • Exploring alternative sources of goods and materials, researching, and evaluating existing and new suppliers
  • Develop, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and maintain good communication
  • Ensure a professional and consistent approach to all supplier relationships
  • Developing ideas to improve operational efficiency and add value to the organisation
  • Taking on an operational role which increasingly requires a more strategic and forward-thinking view of purchasing in a prototype environment

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least a completed technical education, with a completed further education at a university of applied sciences (business administration or production engineering/technology), or preferably a university degree
  • At least five years of experience in technical purchasing in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or prototype construction
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and supply chain management
  • Ability to add value in quality improvement, lead time reduction and cost reduction
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal relationship management skills
  • Analytical thinking with strong ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and German
  • Strong, resilient, and proactive team player
