The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.

Job description:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Head of Business Systems to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s key business systems. The role will initially be tasked with the implementation and setup of the company’s IFS Cloud platform as the company is being built from the ground up, then transition to operate and improve this key business application that is a fundamental underpinning of the company critical operations. The role includes leading a small team of ERP specialists as well as remaining hands on with the systems. The role will also include managing project teams that, from time to time, will supplement the team to deliver key projects. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute the IT Business Systems Strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Ownership of the company’s key Business Systems including the IFS ERP platform.
  • Lead a team of employees and third parties to initially build out the ERP Platform in line with and supporting the needs of the company, then maintain, optimize and improve the platform as the company’s needs evolve and change.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant vendor roadmaps including identifying, evaluating, sharing and ultimately successfully implementing new innovations and capabilities that will benefit the company.
  • Work closely with the IT Operations team ensure smooth service operation, capacity planning as well as working closely with the IT Service Desk to ensure service level and service quality targets are achieved.
  • Develop and monitor the Business Systems Capex and PL&L annual budget.
  • Responsible for securing and maintaining the ongoing security of the Business Systems.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and the senior leadership team to identify and implement ERP solutions that support business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring, to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.
  • Work within existing and support the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and IT best practices using ITSM/ITIL as a guide. This includes ownership of any policies, procedures and standards that are specific to Business Systems.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines are managed correctly and adhered to at all times

Requirements

  • A degree in relevant subject (or equivalent career experience)
  • Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar line management role, ideally within a motorsport or engineering industry.
  • Relevant professional qualifications from the IFS Academy or similar body.
  • At least one certification in management disciplines (ITSM, ITIL, PMP, CMI, etc).
  • Experience in successfully delivering large and complex projects against challenging, fixed milestones.
  • Previous experience developing, managing, and owning a department budget.
  • Previous experience of developing and implementing departmental procedures and policies.
  • Extensive knowledge of the IFS Platform including experience integrating into other systems such as Digital Banking, PLM Design Platforms, HCM systems and Payroll systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and passion for the role.
  • Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively with previous experience of managing a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors.
  • Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
  • A keen eye for detail and maintaining high standards whilst drawing satisfaction from getting things done.
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
