Job Summary:

Assist the Lamination Lead with organizing and maintaining production in the Lamination and Cut Table departments.

Job Role:

  • Assist Lead with rolling out new parts to employees
    • Assist with making kit templates, train/promote experienced team members to make own templates and review for accuracy
    • Ensure new team members are being trained adequately
    • Coach team members through first article parts
    • Supervising
    • Facilitating processes
  • Process Autoclave cure cycles
    • Load/Unload Autoclaves
    • Communicate with Lead to coordinate cure cycles
    • Ensure correct cure cycles are selected/processed
  • Assist Lead with material inventory control
    • Perform weekly supply check with Lead and advise Lead/Inventory of material shortages
    • Help control material waste (be vigilant of improper material usage by team members)
  • Assist Lead with quoting
    • Assist with tracking manufacturing times of new parts/molds through GSS
  • Assist Lead with ensuring procedures are followed at all times
    • Ensure Lamination Best Practices and SOPs are being followed
    • Notify Lead of any discrepancies
    • Reinforce proper procedures at all times
  • Assist Lead with Controlling Quality
    • Review parts periodically after Demold for quality check
    • Work with QC to review and notify team members of COPQ concerns
    • Coach team members through Quality Issues
    • Advise Lead/Management of COPQ concerns with specific team members
  • Assist Lead with maintaining a clean and organized workspace
    • Reinforce cleaning procedures with employees if they aren’t being followed
  • Assist in maintaining a good/respectful work environment
    • Notify Lead of any improper behaviors
  • Assist Lead with ensuring required personal protective equipment (PPE) is being worn
    • Notify Lead of any violations
    • Reinforce required PPE with employee if they are not being followed
  • Supervise GSS system processes
  • Conduct daily GSS daily balancing
  • Assist with completing employee performance evaluations/reviews
  • Provide feedback to on Lead and Management on how to increase efficiency
  • Understands, works within, and contributes to the continuous improvement of safety, health and environment requirements; adheres to all safety policies, reports safety and risk hazards
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in composites lamination
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, can do attitude

  • Interacts well with fellow co-workers and other departments, and is able to effectively communicate and actively listen

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
  • Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
  • Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
