- Restoration and Modification- Classic vehicle restoration & specialist road car builds/modification
- Rally/Road Rally- Build & preparation of modern and historic specification rally cars
- Speed Events- Car build & preparation for hill climb, sprint, racing or track day use
- Vehicle Build/Assembly- Bespoke build/assembly of prototype and series production EV and ICE sports vehicles
About the Role
As a senior vehicle technician you will be responsible for providing a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repairs services to customer vehicles with a focus on classic, performance and prestige vehicles.
The main elements of the role will include:
- Diagnosing and resolving vehicle faults
- Servicing and general maintenance and repair
- Undertaking longer term project work for restoration and build of vehicles to meet customer requirements
- Fabrication
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work
- Repairing or replacing components as required
- Refurbishment/restoration for project vehicles including welding and/or fabrication of any components required
- Work in a timely manner to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Produce a high level of workmanship at all times
- Ensure accurate and appropriately narrated time entries are inputted into the workshop time recording system during every day especially before the job sheets are handed back
- Ensure all works carried out are to the required Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards at all times
- Maintain and clean a tidy workspace with tools and equipment stored appropriately at the end of each day
- Assist the Rally Prep Manager in providing time and material cost estimates before starting a job
- Support any other required duties of the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance or Advanced Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Time served in vehicle restoration
- Proven organizational and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Computer Literate with knowledge of MS Office suite
Desirable
- Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement
- Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills (City & Guilds)
- Health and Safety Qualification
