The role:

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Garage Technician to join the Race Team. Reporting to the Head of Race Team Logistics, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the teams race & test program.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the race team at oversea and European race and test events with garage build, sea freight and air freight activities.

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient loading and re-stocking of the Race Team Transporters.

  • Loading of air freight and sea freight containers.

  • Day to Day duties within the Race Team garage, giving support as and where required.

  • Assisting and running of an intense tyre program.

  • Maintaining the Race Team trucks, Air freight equipment and sea freight stillages.

  • Supplying full factory support as and when required.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will have a proven knowledge of working within the tyre department of a race team, having worked with captive wheel nuts, tyre blankets and F1 tyre processes.

You will be required to travel to race, test and demo events worldwide spending a considerable amount of time away from home, including weekends.

  • Experienced member of a motorsport pit crew.

  • Experience in transporting F1 equipment, including race cars.

  • A valid and clean C + E license and up to date CPC would be required along with comprehensive knowledge of HGV driving hours and rules.

  • Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a ‘can do’, ‘team playing’ attitude.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are very important.

  • The ability to work under minimal supervision to strict deadlines and in a professional manner is essential.
