Our internships and final theses take at least four months and take place full-time on site in Neuburg. In addition to unique insights into the world of motorsport, we offer fair pay and make you part of the team that brings Audi to the pinnacle of motorsports. Audi Formula Racing GmbH is a subsidiary of Audi Sport and was founded in 2022 for the brand's Formula 1 entry. A team of experts who are passionate about developing the power unit will train and support you.
This position is currently scheduled to start in January 2026, and to apply we need your current CV, relevant certificates, a certificate of enrollment and, if applicable, the examination regulations from your university as well as a current, official grade abstract. As an intern, you will assist the team of power unit F1 electronics developers and contribute to the development of control units for BMS and inverters as well as peripheral electronics for the next generation of F1 vehicles.Your Mission
- You will use Altium Designer to create electronic circuits on the basis of the specifications provided by our electronics developers and perform the commissioning and testing of these circuits independently based on specified criteria and test profiles
- You will develop embedded software for existing and your own circuits as well as PC-based control software
Your Profile
- Completed basic studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable course of study
- Some experience with drafting and designing digital circuits and supporting tools (e.g. Altium, Eagle)
- You have experience with embedded software environments, e.g. STM32Cube, ESP-IDF, LVGL
- An interest in motorsports
- Targeted and structured work practices
- Strong implementation skills and a high level of motivation and personal initiative
- Excellent team skills
- Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
