Senior FP&A Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic and dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join the Commercial Finance Team at Formula 1. Reporting to the Head of Finance, Commercial, you will support the delivery of the Group’s annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.  The role will lead all aspects of the planning cycle of the London office, engaging senior management to deliver their budgets, which highlight areas of focus, as well as analysis in response to varied ad-hoc commercial questioning.  In addition, you will be involved in modelling the longer-term financial projections of the Group as required.    

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination and contribution to the annual budgeting and forecast cycle of the London office.
  • Management and development of the FP&A team.
  • Reporting to the Commercial departments allowing management to make informed decisions for the remainder of the year.
  • Project involvement, as required, to support the departments of the Commercial division.
  • Record and monitor progress of FP&A team tasks from inception to completion.
  • Ongoing supervision of departmental cost budgets, with the support of the FP&A team.
  • Monitoring the provisions carried in the monthly financial close and ensuring they are accurate and cleared on a timely basis.
  • Regular update of the Group long-term financial plan used to provide projections for the Executive Management and shareholders.
  • Primary liaison with Procurement team and contribution to tender processes where required.
  • Enhancement and analysis of financial controls and reporting efficiency in the London office.

About You

  • Relevant financial qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience as FP&A Manager.
  • Relevant industry experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Data consolidation and variance analysis; the ability to think into the future and weigh varying scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain financial details and concepts in lay terms to senior management.
  • Ability to apply a structured approach towards balancing multiple demands and priorities.
  • Ability to operate effectively with all stakeholders including senior management.
  • A meticulous worker who displays due attention to detail.
