Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex engineering processes within the water and wastewater industry.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that adhere to stringent design codes.
- Lead mechanically biased projects, coordinating efforts across various disciplines.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
- Contribute technical expertise to project definition briefs.
- Offer mechanical insights during asset surveys, plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing, and preliminary designs.
- Provide technical sign-off and assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with engineering-based regulatory requirements.
- Support the testing and development of new technologies for research project implementation.
- Develop innovative tools to enhance the Engineering team's capabilities.
- Aid in establishing a 'Centre of Excellence' for engineering.
- Foster a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure from graduate level to industry experts.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Mechanical Engineer status.
- Significant experience in water/wastewater treatment design.
- Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills for equipment failure investigations.
- Experience in developing engineering tools and technologies.
