President, Performance Racing Industry

PRI President is responsible for strategic vision, leadership, and executive management of Performance Racing Industry (PRI) programs.PRI operates for the benefit of racers, race teams,builders, motorsport facility operators, sanctioning bodies,parts suppliers, and other businesses involved in motorsports. PRI President shall be responsible for executing the PRI mission statement, and establishing long-range goals, strategies, and plans around that mission. PRI President will direct and oversee all activities relating to the successful development and operation of existing and new PRI programs to better serve PRI members.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

Implement the PRI mission statement including development and evolution of PRI programs.

Effectively lead the PRI community, including a diverse array of stakeholders from individual racers, race teams, racing facilities, sanctioning bodies, parts suppliers, and other companies.

Lead the existing PRI Show in Indianapolis, IN and any future shows PRI may operate.

Lead PRI magazine, media,and related marketing communications.

Participate in the development of PRI’s strategic plans and programs working with SEMA’s leadership, including the introduction of new programs/strategies.

Establish high levels of credibility for PRI and PRI staff in the motorsport community.

Provide timely management reporting and strategic leadership to support PRI decision making and identify issues and opportunities to improve service to the PRI community.

Develop, grow, and nurture PRI membership programs.

Develop PRI programs for legal advocacy, market research, education, and best practices.

Deliver programs to attract new racers and expand grassroots access to motorsports facilities

Work closely with the general manager to provide general oversight of all operations and ensures a smoothly functioning and efficient organization.

Requires a minimum of 40%-50% of travel time including weekends to attend motorsports events and meetings at California headquarters.

RELATIONSHIPS

PRI President shall report to the SEMA CEO with dotted line to the SVP of Operations.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Multi-disciplinary motorsports experience with established industry relationships.

3 plus years of experience in senior executive leadership positions.

A big picture thinker and ambitious leader with the ability to motivate, and inspire teams, individuals, and companies.

Experience with consumer marketing, trade show operations, or publishing is a plus.

Active history as a racer, team owner,or executive of a motorsports company is a plus.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Strong public speaking skills and experience
