Junior Race/Performance Engineers

In response to the expansion of their single seater programs (FRECA, EUROCUP3, Spanish F4), Saintéloc Racing is actively seeking Junior Race and Performance engineers. This position is open to interns with strong motivation and passion for motorsport and to candidates starting their journey in motorsport.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Car Performance and Simulator:
    • Utilize data acquisition systems and laptime simulation software to enhance performance (Wintax).
    • Experience with simulator will be an advantage.
  2. Trackside Presence:
    • Attend all races and tests.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing car and driver performance.
    • Work both trackside and at the factory.
  3. Engineering Software and Technical Worksheets:
    • Develop and maintain engineering software.
    • Create and manage technical worksheets and operational procedures.
  4. IT and Radio Systems Setup:
    • Set up IT and radio system equipment on track.
    • Ensure seamless communication during events.
  5. Garage Operations and Delegated Responsibilities:
    • Assist in garage operations.
    • Assume responsibilities delegated by the Chief Engineer of the category..

Education and Work Experience:

  • Degree: Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Previous Race/Performance Engineering Experience will be advantageous.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Programming Skills:
    • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, VBA, or other programming software is desirable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  2. Communication and Attention to Detail:
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Superior attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  3. Technical Understanding:
    • Knowledge of F4 and F3R cars will be an advantage.
  4. Time Management and Prioritization:
    • Ability to efficiently manage workloads and prioritize tasks.
  5. Language Skills:
    • Good understanding of spoken and written English.
    • French language skills are advantageous but not obligatory.
  6. Eligibility to Work in the EU:
    • Please describe your eligibility (e.g., EU Citizen, Work Permit, Visa, etc.) in your application.
