Graduate Engineer

Alpine F1 Team are looking for the next generation of Graduate Engineers to join us and build a career at the pinnacle of motorsport. With a dynamic and supportive team mindset and world-leading facilities in rural Oxfordshire, we provide the ideal environment where engineers can make their mark and start writing their own chapter in F1 history.

Our Graduate program is 18 months long and will offer as standard rotations within Aerodynamics, Engineering Design and Performance Systems. The program is designed to develop world class engineers who will take from the program a breadth of knowledge and a solid foundation to advance their career. Candidates must be willing to deliver to exceptionally high standards within all their rotations, making a tangible improvement to the race car and the team as a whole.

If you are high performing, tenacious and motivated, apply today and take the first step towards joining the Enstone family.

The Role

The Alpine Graduate Program is a platform for the right person to develop into an innovative and talented engineer. You’ll learn through a combination of immersive technical rotations, training and mentoring from senior engineers.

As high performance in each technical area is critical for the success of the Graduate, you will need to be able to learn and adapt quickly and be flexible in your learning approach.

The starting point for aspiring applicants is being on track to graduate in summer 2024 with a first-class degree in a related discipline (Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering).  An Master’s level qualification is preferred.

The role is based on-site at our Alpine F1 Technical Centre in Enstone. It will require flexibility, with some shift work including occasional weekends and night shifts as you experience all aspects of race car engineering.

The Person

As someone with an active and curious mind, you will never rest on your laurels but will constantly strive to enhance your own capabilities and those of the wider team by helping to improve our methodology and processes.

Working as part of a team of motivated and talented engineers as well as contributing your own creative ideas and expertise, you will grow as an engineer by learning from and being supported by those around you, making this an ideal place to begin your career.

This is fundamentally a team role, so you will be an excellent communicator and be able to show us that you can work collaboratively even when under pressure.  Capable of keeping an eye on the details while never losing sight of the big picture of what you are trying to achieve, you will be able to adopt a pragmatic approach when needed.  You will be always hungry to learn and to challenge your assumptions.

Aside from excellent academic credentials we are looking for demonstrably strong skills in Mathematics and Physics, plus a solid level of coding in Python or Matlab, which will be tested during the interview process.

Expertise in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and engineering design is an advantage.

Please apply with a CV and cover letter which demonstrate how you are able to meet the requirements of the role.

We may close applications prior to the stated closing date if suitable candidates are found.

Alpine F1 strives to be diverse and inclusive, a place where we can all be ourselves. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to making a consistent, top-down effort to be role models on what diversity, inclusion and belonging means in society.
