F1 Academy Programme Manager- Discover Your Drive

The F1 Academy Discover Your Drive (DYD) Programme Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of all DYD initiatives.  DYD is the Formula 1 Academy initiative that encompasses all activities at the grass roots level aiming to support the development of and increase participation of young female talent both on and off track through various partnerships, community programs and initiatives.  The aim of this program is to assist the entry into motorsports at every level, from indoor karting to work placements and internships.  This position would be tasked with overseeing the development and implementation of all activities that fall within the Discover Your Drive campaign. The ideal candidate for this position possesses experience working in motorsports, has worked in community program development and has experience from an operational implementation perspective. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the strategic ideation and delivery of Discover Your Drive activities, to include but not limited to: karting partnerships, educational platform development, in-market events, fan engagement programs etc. 

  • Oversee 7-10 race specific programs built to support the development of young female talent in the communities in which we race. 

  • Support the delivery of Fan Zone activations to ensure brand standards are adhered to, our message is being delivered and all commercial partner elements are executed. 

  • Manage internal company communications between supporting Formula 1 departments to ensure all elements of the DYD programs are being executed. 

  • Oversee the partnership activation with Motorsport UK, Team Sport, Champions of the Future and any other new partners added to the DYD program. 

  • Develop mentorship, internship and off-track business opportunities to facilitate entry into motorsports for all. 

  • Build and manage project implementation plans for all DYD activities, ensuring all timelines are adhered to, sold partner elements are delivered and goals/objectives for the programs are met. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors or Associates degree 

  • Experience working in events, community program development and/or motorsports 

  • Experience in operations and event delivery 

  • Thrives in managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Possesses an optimistic, innovative and team-first attitude, with a desire to deliver the best 

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, work weekends, holidays and comfortability with frequent travel
