Salary: £38,000-£40,000 DOE +

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Hours: 6:00-18:00 3 days per week! (Weeks 1&2 Mon-Wed, Weeks 3&4 Thurs-Sat)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The client:

Interaction Technical are supporting a well-established printing firm based in Kettering on their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. Our client works with both national and international blue-chip companies within multi-billion pound industries, providing and manufacturing marketing material by utilising their state-of-the-art printing facility. The client is now looking to add an multi-skilled maintenance engineer to their day shift team and offer a great opportunity to work within an exciting industry, for a growing yet well-established company.

The Benefits:

Salary between £38,000-£40,000 dependent on experience

Overtime available and paid at 1.5x

The Role:

Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on commercial printing machinery

Conducting planned and preventative maintenance on site machinery

Following health and safety policies and procedures

Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant

Take part and promote 6S Lean Manufacturing within the Engineering department

Attend regular maintenance meetings to review current PPMs and breakdowns of the plant machinery.

Ensure plant layout changes and installations are completed within the required timescale

There is a call out rota as part of this role, although call out is scarce

The Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience as a maintenance engineer in a production/printing environment (essential)

Multiskilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias (essential)

Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic fault finding capabilities (essential)

Relevant mechanical/electrical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs/17th/18th edition) - essential

PLC knowledge - proven ability to modify (advantageous)

In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
