Purpose of Role

Working within the Logistics Inventory and Systems department, you will report to the Inventory Assurance Team Leader.

The responsibilities of your role will include, auditing stock, investigating transactional accuracy, and resolving COGIs

You will be working in a cross-functional setting, you will contribute to overall departmental goals and company profitability by proactively working closely with Stores functions, Quality, Logistics Engineering and Production to ensure inventory accuracy

Principal Accountabilities

  • Be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and others, ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported to your H&S Representative
  • Participating in all Policy Deployment and adherence of these policies
  • Review and improve the operating environment through establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and to actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Closely liaising with other disciplines within the logistics organisation, as well as other departments, such as Quality, Engineering and Production to ensure continued running of all Production lines, to respond to any queries regarding lineside shortages and potential line stops
  • Support achievement of relevant KPI`s within your area of responsibility
  • Conduct stock counts in support of the Perpetual Inventory cycle and on an ad-hoc basis for both warehouse and lineside as requested, reporting completion and results.
  • Investigate transactional accuracy of materials through the logistic landscape
  • Ensure issue capture to allow for effective communication to the relevant department to drive improvement.
  • Support system cleansing as required
  • Support the return of good parts and obsolete back to the warehouse from the production floor as required
  • Support the systematic completion of vehicles & clearance of any error messages
  • Investigations and correction of top trending issues causing system shortage messages
  • Required to use Material Handling Equipment following relevant training and health checks
  • Weekly rotating shift patterns apply
  • To undertake any other work as directed by your Line Manager in connection within your job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Dynamic, with the ability to respond to challenging situations in an innovative and logical manner
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar Warehouse Management systems preferable
  • Detailed working understanding of Logistics and associated up and down stream processes
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Licensed MHE operator will be advantageous
  • Experience of Route Cause Analysis methodology would be advantageous
