Energy Management Engineer

Nissan Formula E Team has been competing in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years and is looking for an energy management engineer to contribute to the team’s development.

Job overview :

  • Optimize energy usage over a lap to achieve best lap time possible
  • Optimize energy distribution over the race to achieve best race time possible
  • Take part in race/development sessions from OPS room or at the track

Responsibilities :

  • Maximize car performance through direct optimization of the car calibration
  • Help to guide the longer-term development direction of the car by attending test sessions
  • Work in conjunction with Performance, Control, and Strategy engineers to identify the main areas of performance 
  • Contribute on the development of new tools and strategies

Knowledge / Skills :

  • Engineering degree, extra motorsport degree appreciated
  • Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines
  • An attention to detail and an ability to take an unbiased approach to all tasks
  • Data acquisition experience, ideally with ATLAS 
  • MS Office, Matlab/Simulink, VBA and/or other mathematical software
  • Team player / can do attitude
