Nissan Formula E Team has been competing in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years and is looking for an energy management engineer to contribute to the team’s development.
Job overview :
- Optimize energy usage over a lap to achieve best lap time possible
- Optimize energy distribution over the race to achieve best race time possible
- Take part in race/development sessions from OPS room or at the track
Responsibilities :
- Maximize car performance through direct optimization of the car calibration
- Help to guide the longer-term development direction of the car by attending test sessions
- Work in conjunction with Performance, Control, and Strategy engineers to identify the main areas of performance
- Contribute on the development of new tools and strategies
Knowledge / Skills :
- Engineering degree, extra motorsport degree appreciated
- Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines
- An attention to detail and an ability to take an unbiased approach to all tasks
- Data acquisition experience, ideally with ATLAS
- MS Office, Matlab/Simulink, VBA and/or other mathematical software
- Team player / can do attitude
