Position Description
- Applies engineering principles to design performance intake kits for the automotive industry.
- Work with Intake Kits Manager to ensure proper configuration of intake kits through K&N’s Business Management System and production cells.
- Must be capable of complex techniques used in fabrication, forming and welding all types of metals.
- Applies to all K&N and Airaid Intake kits, along with accessories.
Experience, Skills, & Education
- Must know and understand basic principles used in engineering, machining, manufacturing and testing.
- Must know the theories and workings of automobile engine compartments.
- Must know how internal combustion engines work and how induction systems are designed for all types of motorized vehicles.
- Must know the theories and workings of automobile (computer controlled) fuel injection.
- Dynojet chassis dynamometer: Must know the proper procedures for testing vehicles accurately.
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in related area.
- Experience with SolidWorks 3-D CAD software required.
- Knowledge of mold design required.
