Job Description

IMSA seeks a Part Time Transport Driver to join their operations team. This position is responsible for driving a truck or flying to and from events, set-up and teardown of all equipment used throughout the weekends and maintaining all equipment in functional and professional looking manner.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Drive to events as prescribed while maintaining Department of Transportation (DOT) driving time regulations.
  • Truck and trailer loading and unloading; setting up and breaking down of awnings, tech equipment and any equipment as needed at race events.
  • Work to support all weekend officials by maintaining equipment and supplies; staff any IMSA trailers as needed.
  • Responsible for truck, trailer and other equipment maintenance and care.
  • Prepare truck logs, complete time cards and fuel reports after all trips.
  • Help augment other staffing needs around other departments during events.
  • Required to operate forklifts and supporting equipment.
  • Approximate travel required:  80% including weekends.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One (1) year certificate from college or technical school; or five (5) years truck driving and at-race track service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Minimum of one (1) year forklift operation experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A required
