We are looking for a data driven Social Media Manager to join our team! 

This is a key role as we look to grow our content team at Williams Racing at an extremely exciting time. As we continuously strive ambitiously to improve on-track our standards need to be visibly reflected within our output on social media. Our focus is particularly on vertical-reliant platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, X and TikTok. We are also looking for an impressive creative individual to drive engagement to our owned and operated digital channels (Web and app).

The job requires an analytical thinker who is data driven and able to understand social media data to inform and make decisions on how we drive excellence across our social platforms. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for authentic, social first content, brimming with innovative ideas.

The role will support Williams Racing’s fan engagement objectives by ideating and publishing highly engaging content across Williams Racing’s social and digital media channels, whilst leaving room for reactive posts and the ability to immediately jump on and react to social media trends.

As a Social Media Manager, you will:

  • Plan, create and publish content across all social media channels in line with Williams’ overarching social media strategy.

  • Produce weekly reports and analysis, working closely with our data and insights team.

  • Lead on awareness of platform and content trends, specifically regarding data insight best practises.

  • Generate regular social performance reports, providing actional recommendations for improvement.

  • Contribute to Williams being first to relevant social media trends.

  • Proactive social media community management, engaging with fans on all platforms.

  • Community engagement, analytics and reporting of Williams Racing’s Social Media Channels.

  • Work alongside the content team, including but not limited to; car launches, partner activations and events.

  • Support the implementation of a consistent style and tone of voice across all owned content produced by Williams, in conjunction with the existing Social, Digital and Content Team to align with the wider marketing strategy and brand.

  • Collaborate with Creative, Communications and Marketing teams to plan and develop engaging content to increase value and meet business and brand objectives.

  • Challenge and seek to continuously improve processes, procedures and protocols related to Social and Digital as well as wider content production and at Williams.

The ideal Social Media Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in the management of social media channels for large brands or sports teams, including community management experience.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms.

  • Understanding of key social media channels and creative best practices.

  • Ability to recognise and capitalise on social media trends.

  • Clear understanding of social metrics and reporting.

  • Experience on using data to drive content performance forward.

  • Experience of using social reporting and social listening tools.

  • Knowledge and experience of both organic and paid social media, with an understanding of the different approaches to both.

  • Good experience working with Adobe creative suite.
