Senior Accounts Executive, Media Rights

As the commercial rights holders of the FIA Formula One World Championship, the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship the F1 Academy Series and the Porsche Supercup Series, the Media Rights Department at Formula One are responsible for the distribution of all media rights relating to these motor racing series and certain other ad-hoc supporting events.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Media Rights, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to day client requests and servicing both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have good experience working in the media rights environment and will be self-motivated. The candidate will also have strong organisational and communication skills and can remain calm while working within a pressured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day

  • Overall responsibility and main point of contact for broadcast partners across select territories.
  • Servicing and management of Media Rights agreements, ensuring all contracts are executed and returned to client and stored/recorded on the system.
  • Viewing and approving promotional edits, marketing campaigns and competitions to ensure rights are being exercised in accordance with agreement terms and brand guidelines.
  • Management of ad hoc projects including the annual international broadcast workshop as well as broadcast partner activations and screenings.
  • Management and syndication of F1Insight and all additional broadcast feeds working closely with our distribution partners.
  • Producing market intelligence and audience data reporting as and when required for all series.
  • Supporting with the drafting and amending of contracts and additional rights agreements alongside the Legal department.
  • Liaising with other internal departments including Accreditation, Production, Finance and the Marketing department, and generating/maintaining all relating matters between such departments.
  • Distribution of key information to broadcast partners as and when required.
  • Liaising with the Finance Department regarding invoicing, payments, and debtors.

Data / Record Maintenance and Reporting

  • Creating and maintaining both individual client and central records/systems to track all incoming requests, sales, deal and contractual information as well as invoice summaries.
  • Researching and reporting on ad hoc sales projects as well as preparation of sales materials as may be required.
  • Producing broadcast partner satisfaction surveys.
  • Managing day-to-day CRM project requirements.
  • Providing information/updates to your line manager accurately, quickly and efficiently within an environment that is continually changing.

  • Maintaining good relationships and open communication channels with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Dealing with and managing day-to-day administrative tasks efficiently and effectively and to tight deadlines.
  • Maintaining a calm and measured approach in a pressured environment and effectively managing multiple initiatives/requests simultaneously and always to a high standard.
  • Undertaking other duties within your capabilities as your line manager or the Director of Media Rights may assign to you from time to time.
