Race Engine Engineer

Mugen Euro Co are currently looking for an enthusiastic Engineer capable of leading the mechanical development of various engines, and optimising the running of them on our transient AC dyno.

Not only that, the successful applicant will be responsible for bespoke designs of unique chassis and frame components as we diversify our business to include the production of prototype and low volume cars and motorbikes to further the Mugen brand in the UK and Europe.

Powertrains that we anticipate working on include specific-design racing engines, modified production engines in combustion, hybrid and full-ev configurations.

We will be expanding the capabilities of our facility in Milton Keynes very soon, and, like all members of our very small team, you would be expected to participate in all areas of our business, even those that do not fall directly under your job role.

Using our modern very well-equipped facilities, you will be confident to work under your own supervision, as well as alongside senior engineers representing a major global manufacturer.

You will need to have:

  • Experience of mapping a range of ECU types on various combustion engines.
  • Good knowledge on the development of performance and endurance of motorsport engines from single-cylinder to V8
  • Familiarity with running an AC engine dyno.
    • Knowledge of chassis dyno operation would also be an advantage
  • Experience with Catia v5

So, if you are an enthusiastic engine engineer with an interest in all things related to 2 and 4-wheel performance vehicles, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of putting together vehicles to take Mugen into the next era of our business we would love to hear from you.

Please note: this position is based in Milton Keynes and only applicants that are able to commute daily to Milton Keynes and with a current legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom will be considered.
