Main tasks
- Design and development of parts for the engines (hardware, air intake, exhaust systems, lubrication, cooling, in-car installation, tools and dyno equipment)
- Create new designs from initial concept to parts supply monitoring and validation
- Follow items from the calculation and design process, to the assembly and sign-off on dyno and/or car
- Bill of material setting
- Manage the development of components and systems together with suppliers
- Maintain a strong relationship with other design teams such as chassis, electronics
- Communicate with suppliers for parts supply monitoring and quality issues
- Liaise with the engine workshop for assembly process support, validation of the new parts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or equivalent education
- 2-5 years of engine design experience, preferentially within top-level motorsport industry
- Strong knowledge of CATIA V5 (Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Drafting)
- Proficient in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing and MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
- Good communication skills, fluent English is compulsory
- A flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential
