The role:
PLM is a sub-section of the Digital Performance Technologies department that covers CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and Manufacturing Systems. We are looking for a 2nd Line PLM Support Engineer to provide the support for these systems in a 2nd line capacity. The work in this role will be broken down into 4 main areas:

Working with 1st Line Support to ensure effective triage of incidents

At Elbow Support / resolving helpdesk tickets for all areas

Mentoring / training where applicable

Day to day system administration
As a 2nd line PLM Support Engineer, you will:

Provide second line support for CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and Manufacturing Systems.

Work with and help 1st line support with triaging of incidents and continuously improving the process of incident handover.

Respond and resolve tickets within the agreed business SLA.

Work with vendors and their support teams where incidents cannot solely be resolved internally.

Review and highlight repeat issues to help identify the root cause and implement a permanent solution.

Work with the wider PLM team to ensure joined up thinking and development, as well as working on projects where required.

At elbow support where required, this may involve moving around the business.
We are looking for someone who is flexible to work extended or out of hours to cover upgrades or outages as needed. This role also includes a mandatory out of hours support rota which operates between October and March each year.
Our ideal 2nd line PLM Support Engineer would have:

Solid experience as an NX User.

Experience in providing support to users/customers.

Quick and effective problem solving skills
-
Understanding of the basic functions of Teamcenter.

An all-around team player attitude; help to continually grow the entire IT department, calm under pressure and reliable
-
Excellent communication skills, written, interpersonal and telephone.

Knowledge of NX Open and creating/maintaining code would be useful but not essential.
