Specialty Transport Driver

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive to and maintain specialty hauler for all race weekends for the IndyCar Season.
    1. Safe, courteous, and respectful behavior always required.
    2. Attendance at all events required except for rare and prearranged circumstances.
  • Once parked at venue, overall setup, and preparedness of specialty hauler for use that weekend.
    1. Identify and communicate any mechanical or other complications / needs with the Transportation Coordinator.
    2. Prepare and maintain eating area for VIPs.
    3. Execute a thorough cleaning of the interior of the hauler – top to bottom – including bathrooms, showers, carpets, leather, countertops, refrigerator, etc.
    4. Determine and purchase consumable items.
    5. Prepare exterior of hauler.

 

  • Friday – Sunday of Race Weekend
    1. Arrive early and stay late at the venue.
    2. Coordinate the needs and logistics of team executives and VIP guests.
    3. Maintain the exterior and interior cleanliness of the hauler and environment.
    4. Secure lunch and other meals for team executives on a situational basis.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Valid and clean CDL Class A license holder.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Previous luxury motorcoach experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skill set mandatory.
  • Ability to travel for long periods of time – 6 weeks continuous in some situations.
  • Sustain standing on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to physically lift 75lbs independently.
  • Extreme attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to climb in and out of bed of pickup truck.
  • Ability to stand atop a ladder while fastening items above head.
  • Ability to kneel and sometimes crawl underneath narrow locations.
