Communication Executive

At Right Formula, we leverage the power of sport to create extraordinary activations and innovative campaigns that deliver award-winning work, loyal team members and long-term clients. 

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and dynamic Communications Executive to work with several clients and to support the development of the department. This person will be passionate about sport, with particular interest in motorsport. Experience in Formula 1 would be a bonus. 

The role will be based at Right Formula’s offices in Battersea, London, and will involve regular support for client projects, working with brands at the top level of sport. 



  • Support the development of PR and Communications strategy as agreed with the relevant client(s) and for Right Formula  
  • Use knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding client servicing through innovative and effective PR and Communications  
  • Support the retention and growth of client accounts through PR and Communications planning and delivery  
  • Cultivate relationships with influential print, digital and broadcast journalists and/or thought leaders within the sports sector.  


Key Responsibilities  

  • Day-to-day management of client’s PR and Communication objectives as they link to the overall partnership ambition  
  • Deliver innovative and effective communication and PR strategies and campaigns  
  • Generate accurate analysis and media coverage reports and status notifications, including feedback, ROI and ROO reporting on the relevant activity  
  • Develop and pitch fresh and innovative ideas to current and potential clients 
  • Writing media releases and creating other press materials 
  • Support the writing and planning of digital content for Right Formula’s owned channels 


Skills And Experience 

  • At least 12 months’ experience in public relations or journalism   
  • A track record of developing and delivering communication strategies  
  • Experience of working closely with journalists and responding to media requests  
  • The capacity to multi-task, managing time, resources and budgets appropriately across multiple activities  
  • First class inter-personal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with media representatives 
  • A demonstrated understanding of the role sponsorship plays within the marketing mix  
  • A persuasive and confident approach to developing and delivering PR and Communications elements to partnership activation  
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills  
  • Enthusiasm, energy and an innovative approach to the role  
  • The willingness to note relevant trends, learn new skills and develop creative ideas  
  • Ability to work independently while delivering high quality work on deadline  
  • Willingness to work flexible work hours, including weekends  
  • Knowledge of key media covering sport, especially in the UK and US. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the confidence to work on different projects across multiple accounts
