Working in the NASCAR vehicle dynamics group, the candidate will develop simulation software used by the race teams and the Engineering Department as well as work on vehicle performance.
Responsibilities:
- Simulation model development.
- Model correlation with test data.
- Identifying and exploiting areas of vehicle performance / development.
- Assist the vehicle dynamics group with the development of an OEM DIL Simulator.
- Track test support.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering along with 6+ years’ work experience in vehicle dynamics and simulation. Additional requirements include:
- Experience with MSC ADAMS, VI-CRT, Modelica / Dymola, AVL-VSM, LMS Virtual.Lab, SIMPACK, or equivalent multi-body dynamics simulation.
- Programming experience with C, C#, VB.Net, or equivalent.
- Motorsports engineering experience.
