R&D Technician

 Main tasks

  • Prepare and support experiments on various test rigs technically and operationally
  • Provide technical support to all related departments with focus on smooth rig operation and interpretation of results
  • Identify areas within test activities that can have a direct impact on performance and facilitate the process to trackside delivery
  • Liaise between the engineering and production teams as well as external suppliers
  • Take ownership of maintaining electronic and software systems required for completion of experiments including data processing and analysis
  • Analyze existing rig layout and processes to suggest improvements
  • Communicate results and liaise between different departments and external suppliers
  • Fault logging, reporting and development of short and long-term solutions
  • Create test result reports matching internal standards
  • Guide decision making through well prepared reports and high level technical summaries
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and training of other staff

 Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education
  • Several years of design experience, preferentially within top-level motorsport industry
  • Background in operating safety critical equipment
  • In depth knowledge and experience with PC software and data logging systems
  • Hands on experience in assembly, maintenance and repair of electromechanical systems
  • Excellent skills in writing to prepare high quality documentation as well as test reports
  • Basic CAD skills to manage assemblies and installations desirable
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills at all levels
  • A flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential
