Main tasks
- Prepare and support experiments on various test rigs technically and operationally
- Provide technical support to all related departments with focus on smooth rig operation and interpretation of results
- Identify areas within test activities that can have a direct impact on performance and facilitate the process to trackside delivery
- Liaise between the engineering and production teams as well as external suppliers
- Take ownership of maintaining electronic and software systems required for completion of experiments including data processing and analysis
- Analyze existing rig layout and processes to suggest improvements
- Communicate results and liaise between different departments and external suppliers
- Fault logging, reporting and development of short and long-term solutions
- Create test result reports matching internal standards
- Guide decision making through well prepared reports and high level technical summaries
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and training of other staff
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education
- Several years of design experience, preferentially within top-level motorsport industry
- Background in operating safety critical equipment
- In depth knowledge and experience with PC software and data logging systems
- Hands on experience in assembly, maintenance and repair of electromechanical systems
- Excellent skills in writing to prepare high quality documentation as well as test reports
- Basic CAD skills to manage assemblies and installations desirable
- Excellent analytical and communication skills at all levels
- A flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential
