PURPOSE: The Performance Engineer (PE) assists the Race Engineer (RE) in optimization of car and driver performance. This is done using a variety of data sources through detailed analysis, applying engineering fundamentals, and logical reasoning. The PE has primary responsibility for fuel calculations during the race and assists the team with race strategy. The PE will also perform a variety of R&D projects that fit with his/her skillset and background. Assist the vehicle dynamics group with the development of an OEM DIL Simulator.
