We are looking for an exceptional Social Media Manager.

This is a key role as we look to grow our content team at Williams racing at an extremely exciting time. As we continuously look to improve on the track our standards need to be visibly reflected within our output on social media.  Because of this we are looking for the right candidate to turbocharge Williams Racing’s social offering, particularly on vertical-reliant platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, X and TikTok. We are also looking for an extremely impressive creative to drive engagement to our owned and operated digital channels (Web and app). 

 

The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for digital content, brimming with innovative ideas. They should also be a Formula One enthusiast capable of transforming the behind-the-scenes narrative of our sport into engaging content that aligns with our brand values and those of our team partners. 

 

The role will support Williams Racing’s fan engagement objectives by ideating and publishing highly engaging content across Williams Racing’s social and digital media channels, whilst leaving room for reactive posts and the ability to immediately jump on and react to social media trends. Working within the content team you will have a growing team around you to create sport-leading content ideas.

As a Social Media Manager, you will:  

  • Plan, create and publish content across all social media channels in line with Williams’ overarching social media strategy, adhering to the minimum required output set by the Social Media Manager 

  • Contribute to Williams being first to relevant social media trends 

  • Proactive social media community management, including replies to fans on all posts. 

  • Community engagement, analytics and reporting of Williams Racing’s Social Media Channels 

  • Support the planning, development and delivery of creative film concepts for social media use on a weekly basis 

  • Work alongside the team’s retained creators, including but not limited to; car launches, partner activations and events. 

  • Support the implementation of a consistent style and tone of voice across all owned content produced by Williams, in conjunction with the existing Social, Digital and Content Team, to align with the wider marketing strategy and brand. 

  • Collaborate with Creative, Communications and Marketing teams to plan and develop engaging content to increase value and meet business and brand objectives. 

  • Challenge and seek to continuously improve processes, procedures and protocols related to Social and Digital as well as wider content production and at Williams.  

 

Required Skills: 

  • Experience managing social media channels for large brands or sports teams, including community management experience. 

  • Understanding of key social media channels and creative best practices 

  • Ability to recognise and capitalise on social media trends 

  • Knowledge and experience of both organic and paid social media, with an appreciation of the different approaches to both. 

  • Clear understanding and knowledge of the full Adobe suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator etc. 

  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions and think logically even in high-pressure situations 

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different departments in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
