Purpose of Role

Supporting the Senior Finance Manager, this role will business partner with the EMEA region with ownership of the EMEA financials. Key responsibilities include; month-end, budget, monthly forecasting, quarterly customer payment reviews and AP/AR processes.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ownership of the EMEA P&L and Balance Sheet for both reporting and strategic cycles (budget and monthly reforecasting).
  • Completion of month-end processes, leading monthly finance reviews with key stakeholders, delivering timely and accurate financial information with commentary that demonstrates and comprehensive understanding of revenue performance, cost drivers and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate and prepare annual budget and monthly reforecast submissions, identifying and risks and opportunities to the forecast.
  • Administration of quarterly payment cycles to McLaren retailer network
  • Ownership of monthly credit note and invoice preparation to Customer accounts.
  • Ownership of monthly payment run review and submission for Customer accounts.
  • Preparation and distribution of weekly cash files, detailing Debtor aging profile
  • Preparing supporting business cases for EMEA Sales & Marketing activities, and tracking/reviewing performance post event
  • Business partnering the EMEA regional team, building relationships cross-functionally and acting as the first point of contact for all financial matters within the region.
  • Ensure EMEA Departmental budgetary & cash control processes are in place and followed, challenging spend where necessary.
  • Support the Credit Control Manager with EMEA Retailer cash management, trade finance limits and supporting with any statement of account or payment queries.
  • Identify and implement process, reporting and analysis improvements in all areas of role.
  • Other ad-hoc business requirements as required by the SFM.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Advanced Excel skills required to interrogate and manage large volumes of complex data.
  • Experience of accounting systems, preference for SAP experience
  • Confident with offering constructive challenges to senior managers.
  • Ability to not only understand and be comfortable with the detail but also to summarise key aspects for management consumption.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to work by identifying areas for process improvements and implementing robust solutions.
