As Control Systems Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the field of ‘high peformance car optimisation’. You will optimise car performance through control strategies and simulations with continuous improvement to internal methodologies and processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the performance and reliability of high performance road car projects, the Le Mans Hypercar and GT race cars.
Your Tasks:

design and implement control algorithms for handling and performance-related control strategies like traction and brake controls as well as torque vectoring controls

iterate fast in early phase control systems prototyping using simulation, driving simulators and demonstrator cars for modern electric or hybrid vehicle architectures

collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into overall race and sports production vehicle design

conduct simulations and support simulator sessions as well as physical testing to validate system performance

troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems

stay updated with the latest advancements in vehicle dynamics and control systems, and prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate system performance and improvements
The Successful Candidate will:
-
hold a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

have experience in control systems design and implementation, preferably in the motorsport or high-performance automotive industry

possess strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, control theory and signal processing

have experience with realtime and rapid control prototyping environments, ideally from dSpace
-
be proficient in using MATLAB/Simulink

have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
