Regional Sales Manager - UK

What to ExpectWhat You'll Do

  • Supporting, developing and driving sales results (retail, allocation & wholesale) for both new and pre-owned vehicles with assigned retailers to meet corporate retail, wholesale and business objectives.
  • Submitting accurate forecasts, weekly, for new and used vehicle retail and wholesale ensuring the achievement of all monthly and annual company objectives.
  • Performance-managing assigned retailers in market sales activities with the effective use of competitive and market data.
  • Monitoring and guiding inventory levels across new & used vehicles on a monthly basis, managing pipeline and taking remedial actions to manage stock.
  • Developing strong commercial relationships with Retailer senior management, staff and investors to ensure they are fully aligned with McLaren business strategy.
  • Visiting each assigned Retailer frequently to support McLaren business objectives.
  • Working in partnership with Regional Marketing Manager and assigned Retailers to develop a quarterly marketing plan to support the sales objectives.
  • Ensuring that every Retailer delivers an exceptional customer experience.
  • Partnering with the Regional Aftersales Manager to jointly manage retail performance and customer experience.
  • Identifying areas of poor performance and work with the Retailer to develop corrective action plans.
  • Championing and leading the effective utilisation of Retailer CRM systems, in coordination with the McLaren factory program, to efficiently manage prospects, leads, owners and former owners.
  • Championing and leading Retailers to effectively utilise the McLaren Qualified certified pre-owned programme.

What You'll Bring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business or similar degree or equivalent retail/wholesale OEM experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ s professional premium automotive experience in an international environment
  • Experience within luxury retail environment highly beneficial
  • Excellent target orientation including an appropriate level of assertiveness.
  • Understanding of automotive KPI’s and their usage in evaluating market performance
  • Demonstrated experience in developing positive working relationships with independent automotive retailers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organisation.
