[An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the Motorsport department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. Reporting to the Senior Engineer for Motorsport design, this is a key role where the successful individual will be responsible for the development and delivery of powertrain components and systems for high performance applications in a range of racing series.

 

Job role:

 

  • Component and assembly design using 3D CAD software
  • Completion, peer review and release of engineering drawings
  • Specify, Design and Develop rig and test equipment
  • Undertake data analysis to support design development and fault resolution
  • Data transfer to customers and suppliers
  • Contribute to documentation of customer build specifications
  • Ensure adherence to company guidelines related to CAD assembly structures and BoM creation within your projects
  • Support workload allocation with engineering leaders
  • Mentor junior engineers 
  • Analyse data generated, fault find and propose rectifying action in critical and urgent scenarios
  • Routine maintenance of business tools such as faults lists, product databases and continuous improvement activities are expected.

 

You’ll have:

 

  • A Degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, automotive or related engineering discipline. 
  • Proficient CAD user (Catia V5 or Siemens NX experience preferred)
  • Previous experience of Teamcenter PLM is an advantage
  • Experience in a mechanical design environment, preferably with exposure to HV systems, energy storage and powertrain in low volume applications.
  • Good communications skills are essential as you will interact with a variety of departments and suppliers
  • Ability to travel outside the UK, sometimes at short notice

This role will include working at the head office in Grove until an office move to Kidlington in spring 2024.
