Project Engineer - Body Electronics

Purpose of Role

Working as the part of a small team reporting to the Principal Engineer – Body Electronics you will be required to support all critical program activities and engage with the architecture team and project management to define and agree the Vehicle Electronics for all McLaren vehicle platforms.

Principal Accountabilities

Working within the body electronics team, this role will have responsibility of delivering body electronics components and software from concept through to production.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Electronics architecture experience (harness, CAN/LIN protocols, ECUs, sensors) in an automotive environment.
  • Body/Chassis and Software/Hardware experience for automotive applications.
  • Experience of the Supplier Management process.
  • Proven track-record of system/component design and delivery within automotive/aerospace/engineering.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
  • SAP design tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Modern Vehicle operating systems (preferred Body Electronics)
  • Experience Test and integration of vehicle Electronics systems.
  • Generation and approval of detailed specifications.
  • Component standardisation.
  • Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier.
  • Lab car and mule development and POC. activities

  • A full UK vehicle driving license
