An opportunity has arisen to Logistics Coordinator – Motorsport to join the Motorsport department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. To support the WAE Motorsport department & logistics team on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring that requirements for quality, cost and delivery are achieved. Assist in the effective supply of product and services and ensure that they are delivered correctly to specification and to schedule. Supporting the race teams with ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of parts whilst achieving urgent deadlines and being able to reprioritise.

 

 

Job role:

 

· Ensure ADR Legislation is completed and record keeping compliance.

· Assist in the Race to Race turnaround of components between events working closely with the Logistics

team and the Project Management Team.

· End to end responsible for goods leaving FWAE to the customer or race team, ensuring receipt inside the

agreed timing & communication with the receiver.

· Liaising with the Race Teams to ensure parts supply is in line with demand.

· Ensuring that the shipment contents are match the order and the associated documentation and that all such documentation is correct and in-line with the individual customer’s protocols.

· Ensuring packaging is sufficient for transportation and is compliant with the goods being carried.

· An understanding of document requirements and regulatory compliance.

· Maintain concise records by accurately updating systems and where required, written records with issue and receipt information.

· Ensure efficient receipt and issue of components in a controlled and recorded manner.

· Contribute to site operational efficiency by identifying potential improvements to processes.

· Always operate in a manner that complies with the Health & Safety policy and report all cases of non- conformance to line manager.

· Provide daily, weekly & monthly information and reports in line with management and company requirements.

· The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post.

· A strong sense of self-motivation in order to drive the team and business towards agreed contractual KPI’s, financial and service goals.

· The ability to prioritise workloads into a methodical & thorough approach to work, ensuring attention to detail is maintained when under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.

· Prioritizes tasks according to business objectives and can pursue several objectives simultaneously.

· Can work independently with a high degree of self-motivation. Tackles problems with enthusiasm and curiosity. Ability to manage and analyse a situation and develop a professional solution to the organisation.

· Organized, structured and always have an overview of all the deliverables.

· Accurate and punctual use of company software and systems to ensure efficient operations.

· Ensure all health and safety obligations are met providing a legal and safe working environment that consistently exceeds standards. Responsible for the Health and Safety and to observe best practice and compliance with legislation in the protection of the environment and conservation of energy

· Provide a culture of improvement and team effectiveness to ensure a strong team and good team morale

· Promote effective, positive communication with internal and external customers to ensure agreed service level achieved.

· Acceptance that this role will require a flexible approach to working hours and weekend cover to support race weekend / programme deadlines.

· Ability to travel Nationally / Internationally if required to support events / race meetings.

 

You’ll have:

 

· A good working knowledge of MS software that includes Excel, Word, Outlook is essential.

· Experience of Motorsport logistics / DHL motorsport advantageous.

· Counter Balance forklift licence is desirable but full training can be given.

· An understanding of an ERP system advantageous.

· Experience in a high-pressure transport-based role is desirable but full training will be given.

· ADR/ Class 9 and regulatory compliance within Transport/ Although training will be given.

· An understanding of Customs process and Carnet use is desirable.
