Legal Counsel

We are currently seeking a talented commercial lawyer to join our legal team as a Legal Counsel. 

  

This is a key role where the successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for a wide range of issues relating to the Formula 1 business. 

  

The role will be varied and will appeal to candidates who are pro-active, think commercially and can operate effectively across the business including advising members of senior management on important legal matters. 

  

As a Legal Counsel you will be: 

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of commercial contracts including supply and purchase agreements, SaaS agreements, hire agreements, data sharing agreements, commission agreements, sponsorship and licensing agreements;  

  • Providing support to the Legal, Procurement, IT and Marketing Departments, and wider business where needed, in respect of data protection compliance and best practice in respect of the use of data and new technologies; and 

  • Providing general legal advice and support to the business and its support functions including IT, HR, Procurement, Facilities and Communications. 

The successful candidate will be a commercial lawyer with experience of dealing with data protection and new technology issues.  A fluent communicator, with a highly analytical approach and strong attention to detail, the successful candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and work robustly under pressure.

Requirements: 

  • 3 to 5 years PQE as a Commercial Lawyer 

  • Experience advising on data protection issues 

  • Tech literate

  • Experience with purchasing and licensing is desirable
