Full time, permanent positions for various levels of experience, available immediately for the role of Engine Builder. Located in Hertfordshire, Blakeney Motorsport is a race preparation and restoration company looking after a wide range of prestigious classic and historic racing and sports cars dating from the 1920’s through to 1975.
Responsibilities include engine strip down, cleaning and inspection through to part design, manufacture, all assembly work, dynamometer testing, development and optional race support. It is essential that any candidate has sound knowledge of petrol engine principles and experience with engine assembly.
Basic machining skills, engine maths understanding, materials knowledge, and the previous use of engineering measurement tools are likely required. CAD skills (Solid Works) or dynamometer/rolling road testing experience are also advantageous, but not essential.
Some informal tuition can be provided within the role but any applicant must have an enthusiasm for engineering and be quick to learn.
Salary £35,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience.
