Brake Engineer

Are you looking for an ambitious new challenge as an experienced Brake Engineer, reporting to the head of the Tyre and Brake Performance group. 

Brake Engineer 

Would you like to

• work in our Tyre & Brake Performance group being the lead Brake Engineer?
• work closely with the thermal group as well as the vehicle concept group to provide development targets and expectations for future cars?
• evaluate and quantify changes in the braking-system and car parameters on braking performance?
• work together with the race team and provide predictions of the braking performance prior to the event as well as analysing the performance during and after the events?
• Identify brake model parameters and assess the model correlation by using dyno data as well as onboard sensor data?
• further develop existing methods and tools by adding your own expertise to it?
• work closely with the brake supplier to define targets for future braking systems?

Do you have

• a MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering or related field?
• very high level of experience in the field of braking performance and conceptional work on brake development?
• very good understanding of the interaction between brakes and full vehicle?
• a high-level of expertise in Matlab (Python and C++ would also be desirable)?
• strong English (verbal and written) language skills?
