Senior CT Imaging Specialist

The Role

This is a new and critical role that will lead the activity and influence the direction of computed tomography (CT) within our business. As the central subject matter expert for all CT matters, you will work to maximize the capability and create efficient processes that support the development of our racing cars.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Proactively developing the CT “System,” to include the Capability, Hardware, Software, Understanding, Process, People and Capacity, working with other departments to collectively improve use of the technology across the business.
  • Producing high-quality diagnostic images, making informed decisions upon image acquisition.
  • Conducting timely post-processing of CT scans, ensuring a high professional standard.
  • Maintaining accurate and concise records, documenting product information, scan details, and any relevant observations. Preparing clear and informative reports, describing findings, anomalies, and recommendations.
  • Coaching and developing technicians and engineers in the usage and capabilities of computed tomography techniques to raise the groups wider understanding and confidence.
  • Monitoring compliance with radiation safety guidelines and the current Radiation Act and Code.

The Person.

We are looking for a candidate with Level 3 or above (EN4179 or PCN) demonstrating a deep understanding of computed tomography systems, including their components, calibration, and maintenance. You should be proficient in succinct report writing, with the ability to convey NDT findings effectively and confidently to the design and stress teams, backing up results with facts.

  • Ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, both oral and written. Simplify complex technical concepts for engineers and articulate issues to colleagues or technical support for efficient resolution.
  • The ability to create a positive profile for yourself and the department with a ‘can do’ approach.
  • High performer with the ability to remain focused and goal driven under pressure, working to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Initiative-taking, well organised with attention to detail.
