Job Description

The Production Coordinator plans and coordinates the day-to-day logistics of assigned projects and shows, including programming, client content and live/remote. The Production Coordinator works to ensure that all the necessary elements are in place and executed for a successful production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage the organization and distribution of client requested or internal production elements and materials (i.e. sales, graphics, promotional information, etc.) to internal and external clients
  • Directs staff and freelance Talent, Producers, Directors, Graphics, Associate Directors, Associate Producers, and Production Assistants on the systematic processes for client requested productions or projects/shows
  • Works with Production Manager and management team to identify, select and schedule staff and freelance personnel for assigned projects and/or shows
  • Works with management team on the scheduling of assigned personnel, tracks personnel overtime and vacation time
  • Manage and coordinate media and work orders for assigned productions produced by the company
  • Plan, request and allocate production facility needs for productions produced, in coordination with the Production Manager
  • Works in conjunction with the Operations (Transmissions, Engineering, Media Ops, Library, TOC, etc.) to coordinate the logistics of assigned projects
  • Travel required: <5%, including weekends

Education and/or Experience                                                     

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
