Automotive Design Project Manager

As a member of the IDIADA group Design Engineering Team (SURF/CAD/CAE) you will be involved in engineering development projects from different clients in the automotive world.

Team

Reporting to the CAD Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing design projects from the UK in the pursuit of providing solutions for our main Clients.

You will be based in the UK alongside the local IDIADA team in Nuneaton whilst also working within international teams, liaising with important clients at a national and international level.

Reponsibilities

The main responsibility will be ensuring the design development of a variety of  aspects of the client vehicle progresses to completion. You will take into consideration different stakeholders such as the client, suppliers, tool makers and other departments.

Part of this role will require the contribution to solving problems that may arise during the project and presenting solutions for the client.

Key areas of the projects will include:

  1. Management of reports.
  2. Collation of reports into an agreed Presentation format.
  3. Management of the Open Issue Tracker and moving issues to conclusion.
  4. Supporting the B Release Issues Cross Functional Review.
  5. Ensuring the agreed Process for the supplier‘s Engineers is adhered to, but also working with flexibility if improvements are required.
  6. Point of contact for B Release issues.
