What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for understanding Safety Features and capturing practical application examples which utilize these Safety mechanisms
- Work with internal organizations to understand Functional Safety Requirements (for all applications)
- Interface with domain SMEs to understand overall system safety goals and system architecture
- Capture development of safety concepts for systems such as Airbag, Electronic Power Steering (EPS), Powertrain and others
- Integrate solutions into global (cross-domain) functional safety requirements, in the context of Embedded Software design (e.g. fault detection and mitigation strategies, etc.)
- Prepare and present safety mechanisms in internal workshops
- Understand ASIL decomposition strategies for devices and ECUs
- Discuss and defend safety concept within various domains
- Propose solutions for implementing safety operating systems which take advantage of device resources to achieve freedom from interference
- Support specific safety items such as FMEA analysis, FIT estimation, etc
- Understand and explain Safety Validation activity
- Support audit of Safety Life Cycle and Hardware/Software design
