Richard Stewart Williams LTD is the world’s leading specialist for restoration, servicing and upgrading classic Aston Martin cars. We are seeking an experienced Toolroom based machinists to join our busy and expanding team in Cobham Surrey.
- Time served apprenticeship in toolroom or machine shop with several years knowledge is essential.
- CNC programming, setting, operating of CNC mills and lathes required. Knowledge of Prototrack controllers would be advantageous
- Experience of manual machining techniques required, particularly boring, honing and line boring essential.
- Balancing assemblies on a manual 2 pedestal dynamic balancing machine.
- Experience of 2D or 3D CAD/CAM packages required. Understanding of producing ISO standard engineering drawings.
- Experience of working to procedures and inspection standards required.
- TIG/MIG welding experience to a high standard required. Certification would be advantageous.
- Design and fabrication of sheet metalwork assemblies required.
- Balancing assemblies on a manual twin pedestal dynamic balancing machine.
- Use of hand air tooling for porting cylinder heads.
- Experience of machining cylinder heads on a Serdi or similar head casting machine tool advantageous.
Training will be provided for more specialist tasks.
Job Location Type: Cobham, Surrey. Full time with opportunity for overtime. 40-hour week plus one Saturday morning every five weeks.
