Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Embedded Systems

We are looking for a Senior Engineer Embedded Systems (m/f/d) to be part of our works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:

  • coordination of software development among the team, with different departments, external suppliers and external partners

  • software specification based on system requirements

  • review of software requirements and clarification with system engineers

  • develop embedded applications in Matlab/Simulink

  • debugging of the developed ECUs and software on the target, on a HiL or in the car

  • supporting test activities at the dyno and at the track if required

  • software documentation

  • setup and maintenance of Software Development Toolchains and Version Control Systems


The successful candidate will:

  • have a Masters / Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline

  • have several years of practical experience in software development for the automotive industry, direct relevant working experience in racing is an advantage

  • display knowledge of embedded Systems, Vehicle Technology and distributed ECUs

  • be proficient in Matlab/Simulink programming

  • have knowledge and previous experience with bus systems and communication protocols (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, Lin)

  • have strong team working skills across matrixed teams in an agile environment

  • write and speak English to a professional level, German language skills are an advantage

  • relevant experience with common motorsport ECUs (e.g. McLaren TAG320, Marelli SRG480, Bosch MS6/7) is an advantage
