Experiential Licensing Manager

Formula One Management Ltd is currently seeking a Manager of Experiential Licensing to support F1’s current portfolio of experiential licensees. This will involve leading the day-to-day management of F1’s newest experiential project, F1 Drive at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and closely supporting the management and development of the F1 Arcade and the Formula 1 Exhibition programmes.

The candidate will have licensing / commercial partnership account, project management and business development experience with knowledge of the live event/experiences landscape. They will have established relationships in the sector and understand how to manage and grow partnerships and deliver projects. They will be literate in licensing and experiential business models and have comfort managing multiple stakeholders.  At F1, a natural self-starter with entrepreneurial skills required to deliver against the growth in this sector is critical. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery and development of the new F1 experiential project (F1 Drive), based in London
  • Full account management of the F1 Drive partnership, aligning with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success through launch period and beyond
  • Support on account management of F1 Arcade and the Formula 1 Exhibition
  • Work closely with F1 marketing team on brand IP approvals, marketing and promotion strategy, content development and other related areas
  • Work with wider F1 commercial teams to support experiential partners e.g. across sponsorship, media rights, retail and consumer products  
  • Manage budgets, P&L targets and general financial reporting for experiential business
  • Regular and consistent reporting and tracking to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure housekeeping is kept highly functional across all management, operational and development areas for the experiential business
  • Evaluate and understand licensee business plans and ensure they are on target of forecasts
  • Work with the Senior Licensing Manager and Head of Licensing & Gaming to build and develop growth strategies, including understanding the live entertainment landscape, vision and direction of wider F1 business

About You

  • Experience in partnership management in licensing / sports rights holder and / or live event space
  • Proven track record of delivering against licensing / partnership revenue targets
  • Project management and demonstrated organisational experience
  • Strong account management skills and understanding of licensing business models
  • An excellent project manager and relationship builder that creates win-win partnerships
  • Commercial mindset, strategic and detail-orientated in project execution
  • Ability to express and present ideas or facts concisely and precisely through PPT
  • At ease working with legal teams and understanding long-form legal agreements
  • Comfort with analytics, excel modelling, royalty tracking and forecasting
  • Ability to prioritise and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • An understanding of Formula 1 will be an advantage
  • Team player with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Resourceful with a focus on detail
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations with poise, confidence and humour
