Commercial Development Manager, Race Promotion

The Commercial Development Manager will provide strategic commercial support to analyse, develop and optimise all Race Promotion commercial engagement with both existing and new race promoters and host cities. This cross-functional role will involve collaborating with both our external promoters and internal departments to develop the Championship calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Head of Commercial Development with new and existing deal engagements by:

  • preparing sales materials and commercial proposals, as well as collating key data to optimise deal negotiations and renewal discussions
  • building revenue models to evaluate deal economics and drive new revenue opportunities
  • performing strategic analysis on host cities to include market evaluation, go to market approach, and working closely with internal departments to assess the viability of proposed race locations and track concepts
  • managing and tracking the end-to-end deal engagement process, and collaborating with both our promoters and legal department to ensure a consistent approach

Support Race Promotion leadership to drive incremental growth of the department by:

  • creating and maintaining live trackers (i.e. ticket sales, local sponsorship deals) to help monitor the performance of our promoters
  • conducting a data led evaluation process of existing races including working closely with the insights team to understand fan experience
  • assisting with ad hoc strategic projects related to relationship management and development of our promoters and races
